We
have been requested to give publicity to the
folloring testimonial in favour of the late minister
of the B地ai Jeshurun congregation of Cincinnati.
Cincinnati, July 22d, 1851

Sir:輸t a meeting of the Trustee and Sub-Trustees
of K. K. B地ai Jeshurun, held Sunday, July 20th,
1851, your resignation was unanimously accepted and
the following resolutions adopted.
1.
Resolved. That the letter with resignation be
received and entered in the minutes.
2.
That in receiving the resignation of the reverend
gentleman, we feel it our duty to furnish him with
such testimonials justly due to him as a good reader
and lecturer during his sojourn among us.
3.
Trustees and Sub-Trustees, in behalf of the
congregation, tender their best wishes for the
reverend gentleman and his family, and success to
all his future undertakings.
4.
That the President grant the reverend gentleman
leave of absence for the length of time both for
benefiting his health, as well as to give him
opportunity to find another location in any of the
States, without any deduction his salary.

5.
That the Secretary be instructed to forward a copy
of these resolutions, with the testimonial, and the
seal of the congregation be attached under both.

This is to certify that the Rev. H. A. Henry has,
during his services since Sept. 23d, 1849, as Chazan
and Lecturer of the Congregation K. K. B地ai
Jeshurun of this city, fulfilled the various duties
assigned to this office to the best satisfaction of
this congregation.
We
therefore take pleasure in recommending him to any
congregation in the Union as a good Chazan,
Lecturer, and Talmudist, and a most excellent
Scholar in the Hebrew and English languages.
