My dear Sir,
The President was so much engaged on Friday that he had no time to see me. I think you
had better get up the certificate signed by 5 Ministers testifying to the fact 1. that I
am a regularly ordained Minister 2. that I have officiated as such in one of the leading
congregations of this country & 3. my good character and present standing. It would be
nice for the Board of Delegates to send a letter with it recommending me, I shall then
hand both to the President. I believe that the Reformers are trying to get one of their
own clique in, through their political influence.
My letter of Friday has no doubt reached you. Things are astir in Va.
Respectfully,A. Fischel
