Annual Meeting of the Ladies' Benevolent Society of the Congregation B'nai Jeshurun, New York, Nov. 17th, 5605.

At a general meeting, held in the Synagogue Chambers, Elm Street, for the purpose of receiving the report of the institution's progress, and to elect a board of management for the ensuing year, the following account was submitted, which has been forwarded to us for insertion.

The honorary secretary (the Rev. S. M. Isaacs) read an interesting report of the Society's transactions during the past year, which demonstrated that the daughters of Israel were, as usual, active in benevolence, visiting the sick, comforting the dying, and performing the last duties to all who required their aid in a large congregation like that in Elm Street. It is gratifying to hear, that not a single case of sickness had occurred during the past year, which was not immediately attended to by the appointed members; and it is at the same time pleasing to be informed that the Society's funds are increasing in proportion to its usefulness.
